On October 27, 2024, ASEZ, the university student volunteer group of the World Mission Society Church of God, hosted the ASEZ Crime Prevention Forum at the University of Texas at El Paso. The event brought together students, faculty, and community leaders to discuss practical ways to create a safer and more united campus. Distinguished guests included Mahesh Narayan, Chief of the Biochemistry Department at UTEP; Juan Rabelo, Crime Prevention Sergeant Coordinator; and Olga Rohrer, CEO of the NOVA Initiative nonprofit organization. The forum encouraged collaboration between students and professionals, highlighting the importance of awareness and teamwork in preventing crime.
During the event, several VIPs signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), symbolizing their commitment to supporting ASEZ’s “Reduce Crime Together” campaign. Dr. Narayan inspired attendees by saying, “Everyone on campus should be an ASEZ member!” His statement reflected the spirit of unity and social responsibility that defined the day. Through this event, ASEZ continues to promote peace, safety, and cooperation—showing how students can play a leading role in building a brighter and safer future for their communities.
