On June 24, 2024, ASEZ WAO, the university student volunteer group of the World Mission Society Church of God, carried out a Waterway Clean Sweep event at Overholser Park in Oklahoma City. Volunteers gathered to remove litter and debris from the park’s waterways, helping to preserve local ecosystems and enhance the area’s natural beauty. Their collective efforts reflected the group’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community well-being.
In recognition of their outstanding contribution, the City of Oklahoma City’s Storm Water Quality Management Division awarded ASEZ WAO a Certificate of Appreciation. The acknowledgment celebrated their positive impact on local water quality and their leadership in promoting civic responsibility. Through initiatives like this, ASEZ WAO continues to inspire young people to protect the environment and strengthen community pride.
